How the Beepilot mobile app handles your information.

A view of your desktop session
The mobile app displays questions and answers from your Beepilot desktop session. It cannot generate answers or control the session.
Open it using a link from the desktop app. No mobile account or sign-in is required.
What this app does not collect
No microphone or camera access
The app requests no such permission on Android and declares no use of either on iOS, so it cannot record audio or video.
No analytics or tracking
No advertising, analytics, tracking software or crash-reporting service. Nothing about how you use the app is reported anywhere.
No access to personal device data
The app does not read your contacts, photos, location or calendar, or store an account or password.
What is stored on your device
The last session link
So reopening the app returns you to that session instead of a dead end. The link contains an access token — treat it as private.
Your appearance and text size
The theme you chose and the answer text size you set.
Nothing else
No other data is written to the phone, and uninstalling the app removes all of it.
What is sent to Beepilot
The session code and the token from your link, to open the read-only stream and to fetch the questions and answers already in that session.
Nothing else. The app sends no identifier of its own, and because there is no account it sends no email address, name or credential.
Interview content
The questions and answers shown come from the session running on your computer. On the phone they are held only in memory while you are watching, and are not written to storage.
On the server this content is a live buffer rather than an archive: once a session ends it is cleared, and the phone cannot retrieve it afterwards.
Anyone holding your session link can read that session’s content, so treat the link as private and do not forward it.
Children
Beepilot is not directed to children, and the mobile app is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
Your choices
Uninstalling the app removes the stored link and your preferences from this device.
For access to, correction of, or deletion of the data held in your Beepilot account, contact us — this app holds no account and cannot act on it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the app after an update means the revised policy applies.
